SupportSnippet

A paste-in-knowledge chatbot widget for any site. I thought this one might be a hit — now it gathers dust.

One of my first real attempts at building something that might be a hit. SupportSnippet is an embeddable support chatbot — you sign up, make a project, paste in a blob of plain-text knowledge (products, policies, FAQs), and drop one script tag on your site. You get an Intercom-style widget in the corner, in a few styles and layouts, answering from what you gave it. That's the whole thing.

Back then it felt properly cool — the gap between 'idea' and 'live chatbot on a real website' had collapsed to about ten minutes. So I gave it a real push: its own site, signup, the works.

Then it stalled. Not because it broke, but because the next 20% — the part that makes it good — is the hard part. Today I wouldn't make you paste text at all: point it at your codebase or your docs and let it build its own knowledge, add cleverer retrieval, the things that separate a demo from a tool. I never got there.

So it sits here honestly: a fun idea, a real use case, shipped far enough to prove the point but not far enough to finish. Still up if you want to poke it. Still one I might come back to.
